What is Black Seed?
Nigella sativa L. commonly known as black seed originated from Southeastern Asia and was also used in ancient Egypt, Greece, Middle east and Africa. This is one of the most powerful and recommended herbal seeds known to man. Black seed comes from an annual flowering plant that grows about 20-30 cm tall. The delicate flowers have 5-10 petals and the colors are mainly white, yellow, pink, pale purple or pale blue. The black colored seeds are flattened, funnel shaped, oblong with the length or 0.2 cm and the width of 0.1. People have used this to make medicines for over 2000 years.
